Physician Assistant – Family MedicineAIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a Physician Assistant – Family Medicine to provide primary care services at the 633rd Medical Group, Langley Air Force Base, VA. The provider will evaluate and treat patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe treatments, provide preventive care, and collaborate with healthcare teams in a military outpatient clinic setting. The Physician Assistant will support military readiness, maintain accurate medical documentation, and comply with DHA, MTF, and Joint Commission standards while participating in required training and quality improvement activities.Benefits include 401(k), competitive salary, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.Specific duties include providing patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care; managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and minor injuries; conducting physicals, wellness visits, immunizations, and preventive care; prescribing medications and treatments within scope of practice; performing authorized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; coordinating patient care with physicians, nurses, and specialists; maintaining accurate electronic medical documentation; educating patients and families on treatment and health management; supporting military readiness and occupational health requirements; and participating in mandatory training, continuing education, and quality improvement activities.Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or obtained within three months of start date, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required or obtained within three months of start date, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certification required or obtained within six months of start date, experience sufficient to meet DHA clinical competency and credentialing requirements, and a current, full, active, and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in any U.S. state, territory, or District of Columbia.Skills and abilities include strong knowledge of family medicine and primary care practices, ability to independently evaluate and manage patients, knowledge of preventive medicine and chronic disease management, proficiency with electronic medical records systems, and ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.Schedule is Monday through Friday with typical duty hours including 0730 – 1630, 0800 – 1700, and 0815 – 1715. Schedule will be coordinated with clinic leadership during onboarding. Employees receive a one-hour lunch break. Physical requirements include ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods, ability to respond to emergency patient situations, ability to safely perform clinical procedures and patient evaluations, and ability to use standard medical equipment and computer systems. Immunization requirement includes annual influenza vaccination, tuberculosis screening, Hepatitis B vaccination/titer requirements, MMR immunity verification, and N95 mask fit testing as required. Security requirement includes ability to successfully complete required background investigation and credentialing process, completion of SF-85 security questionnaire, electronic fingerprinting required, and credentialing package completion required prior to start date.Compensation is $60.00 - $65.00 per hour.
