Job Description:

The ICU RN provides comprehensive nursing care to a variety of critical care patients, including those with trauma, cardiac issues, and other complex medical conditions. The RN is responsible for titrating drips, monitoring and interpreting vital signs, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. High proficiency in utilizing RT equipment and EPIC charting system is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with an average census of 16 patients.
• Titrate and manage various drips including cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications.
• Read, interpret, and document strips; collaborate with tele techs for monitor oversight.
• Perform troubleshooting duties related to nasal cannula and ventilation equipment.
• Participate in required orientations and adhere to hospital policies.

Requirements:

• Active RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in interpreting cardiac, sedation, and other critical care drips.
• Ability to float to PCU and MedSurg as required.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and meet holiday shift requirements.
