Heavy Equipment OperatorBorusan Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large-diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer with two U.S. locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator for our Mobile, Alabama location.Compensation & BenefitsEntry rate: $24.87 per hour, $27.73 after fully trainedAnniversary % rate increases at 1 year up to 8 yearsShift differential % for evening shiftsWeekly incentive % bonuses for meeting production and safety targetsPremium pay when work offered on Sunday or holidaysCompany profit sharePaid vacation, sick, and holidaysAnnual safety boot and safety prescription eyewear allowanceExcellent health, dental, & vision coverage with a $0 company-paid health and dental optionCompany-paid life and disability benefit401(K) retirement plan including $1 for $1 company match up to 5% of earningsCompany-paid training & certification, tuition reimbursement, wellness program incentives, employee recognition bonuses, IDEA program bonuses, and morePrimary DutiesOperates all large transportation equipment including the front-end loader, overhead crane, Taylor Big Red (forklift), Rail King, and Wheeled Material Handler (Sennebogen), to transport raw materials, finished product, and railcars during the steel pipe manufacturing process.Transports pipe and steel plates from the production mill and coating mill from other staging areas as necessary.Properly stacks/un-stacks pipe for loading, coating or repair.Properly stocks steel plates in designated areas.Exercises knowledge and safely operates equipment to include weight limits, clearances, and obey all traffic rules within the Port of Panama City.Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.Ensures all pipe movement is reported and documented.Maintain required certifications and licenses.Performs area housekeeping tasks.Performs other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.Education & Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (Required)Prior experience in operating large transposition equipment (Preferred)Heavy industrial manufacturing experience (Preferred)Must be willing to work a rotating shift including days, nights and weekendsBorusan Berg Pipe is an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports a drug-free workplace.
