Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns across multiple postpartum and delivery roles. The position involves working in a dynamic, rotation-based environment with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care for mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal vital signs and progress throughout labor stages.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Manage postpartum care for new mothers and newborns, including couplets, in adherence to hospital protocols.
• Maintain compliance with certifications, including NRP, AWHONN, FHM, and OB surgical recovery standards.
• Float between roles such as Labor, Triage, and Mother-Baby units, adapting to changing clinical needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of current Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certifications in NRP, AWHONN, and FHM required; OB surgical recovery experience preferred.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health records system.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and participate in on-call scheduling.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with exceptions for certain specialties.
