Facility LOC0001 - 55 Fogg Road 55 Fogg Road Weymouth, MA 02190 Department Name SSH IMCU Pratt 6 South Status Full time Budgeted Hours 36 Shift Night (United States of America) Compensation Pay Range $38.20 - $77.39 Responsibilities Medication Administration: administer, transcribe, record medications, complete medication reconciliation, document narcotic withdrawal, verify counts, resolve discrepancies. Plan of care and documentation: develop, discuss, and communicate a prioritized problem list, update individualized plans, document outcomes. Admission assessment: initiate within 8 hours, identify patient/family teaching needs throughout hospitalization. Continued assessment/reassessment: identify care needs within nursing practice, document all patient care per nursing policy and unit standards. Comfort assessment: use appropriate pain scale, document responses to pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions. Advocate for patient/family: seek help and represent them when unable to do so. Ethical support: raise concerns, seek resources to formulate and understand ethical decisions. Communication: actively update plan of day via whiteboard, facilitate discharge/transfer goals, communicate barriers using chain of command. Safety and Quality: foster a culture of safety, verify patient identification before invasive procedures, adhere to CDC hand hygiene guidelines and universal precautions. Regulatory compliance: maintain environment meeting regulatory requirements, understand roles during hospital codes and emergency preparedness. Professional development: pursue evidence‑based practice, research, and performance improvement; obtain at least 5 contact hours per year. Legal practice: practice within the legal boundaries of the MA Nurse Practice Act, direct other licensed and non‑licensed personnel as assigned. Feedback and communication: accept and respond to feedback, maintain professional relationships with colleagues across disciplines. Critical thinking: analyze causes of problems, evaluate solutions, communicate decisions utilizing chain of command. Technology: utilize required software, optimize work processes, operate during downtime. Compliance and privacy: uphold privacy and security of patient information, report potential compliance issues, comply with mandatory education requirements.
