Finance Team Opportunity

The AWS Regions Finance team has a broad range of responsibilities from driving existing business performance to recommending international infrastructure expansion. We operate across the full P&L to identify risks and opportunities. We push the boundaries of how to measure and manage the AWS business, inventing metrics and using our platform to align L10+ leaders on controllable inputs.

We are looking for someone who's an expert with SQL, ETL and, more generally, data wrangling. A track record of moving fast to adopt GenAI tools with a passion and proven ability to teach others are required. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. In this role, you will need to deeply understand the business and will be expected to partner directly with customers to answer key business questions and drive outcomes.

Key job responsibilities:

• Work with business customers to gather requirements and deliver complete data analytical solutions
• Learn why customers are asking for data and what their underlying questions and business goals are
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics and analyses used to drive key business decisions
• Recognize and adopt best practices, including data integrity, accuracy, and reliability, as well as documentation
• Drive data democratization throughout the organization, enabling others to self-serve their data needs
