Location: Houston, TXWhat You Can Expect The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reporting of distributed solar and storage entities, with a focus on partnership structures and project-level accounting. This role operates in a multi-entity, project-finance environment and supports financial reporting, audits, and partner deliverables.Close & Financial ReportingPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned partnership entitiesPrepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and eliminationsPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/resolve variancesSupport preparation of GAAP/IFRS financial statements and reporting packagesPartnership & Project AccountingSupport accounting for partnership structures, including allocations, distributions, and capital activityTrack project-level costs, capitalization, and operating resultsWork closely with Asset Management to ensure accurate reflection of project economicsAssist in preparation of partner reporting and investor deliverablesAudit & CompliancePrepare audit schedules and serve as a key contact for external auditorsSupport year-end audits and respond to audit inquiries on assigned entitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls and company policiesIntercompany & ConsolidationPrepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balancesSupport consolidation processes and elimination entriesEnsure consistency across entities and reporting structuresProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencySupport system enhancements, automation initiatives, and data validation effortsContribute to ongoing transformation initiativesCross-functional CollaborationPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Asset Management teamsSupport cash forecasting and project-level analysisParticipate in recurring project review and close meetingsWhat You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Actively pursuing CPA or Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CA) qualification 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience Strong foundation in general ledger and financial reporting Experience supporting external audits Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (SAP or similar ERP) Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project-based industries Exposure to partnership accounting or complex entity structures Experience with multi-entity environments and consolidations Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentWhy ENGIE?
