Job Description:

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-acuity, high-pace environment
• Preferred: 5+ years in high-risk obstetrics (candidates with 3+ years may be considered)
• Must have current supervisory references (charge/supervisory references required)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience in electronic fetal monitoring

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care during labor and delivery, including assisting with high-risk deliveries and C-sections
• Act as a baby nurse, performing newborn assessments and care until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate in the operating room during C-sections, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Manage high-risk antepartum and postpartum care, including medication drips and hemorrhage management
• Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and address abnormalities appropriately
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Compliance / Notes:

• Must commit to working every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays
• Floating to postpartum and antepartum may be required
• Must request all scheduling requests up-front with submittal
• Background checks do not accept Nursys or BG hits
• Completion of modules pre-start and annually is required
