Palantir Data Engineer

Salary: $87,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a TS/SCI FSP clearance.
• We expect 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Python, Palantir Foundry, Palantir Pipeline Builder, Palantir Workshop, and TypeScript.
• We need proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or comparable technologies.
• We require a solid understanding of XML, YAML, and JSON and how they function within technical systems.
• We look for familiarity with data structures, storage platforms, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and related technical tools.
• We value the ability to understand how technical choices affect the end user experience.

• We build and maintain data transformation pipelines within the Palantir environment.
• We own the workflows, configuration, and administration of a Palantir-based application.
• We integrate external systems through APIs and convert API responses into usable data objects.
• We design user interfaces and develop custom functionality using TypeScript.
• We conduct code reviews, collaborate on solution ideas, and define UI design and feature behavior.
• We perform tier 2 triage with customers and translate issues into clear technical requirements.
• We assess requirements, evaluate their impact on the current environment, and communicate those impacts effectively.
• We move structured and unstructured data using approved methods.
• We carry out data ingestion into local or enterprise repositories.
• We create code to format data for exploration and analysis.
• We analyze source data formats and partner with Data Scientists and stakeholders to determine the best transformations.
• We develop tools for one-time and ongoing data extraction, transformation, and modeling.
• We build new ETL processes and support operations, maintenance, and enhancements to existing ETL code.
• We produce project documentation, including ETL mappings, code usage guides, code locations, and access instructions.
• We define and implement complex data workflows for analytic systems.
• We manage data retention requirements, including data deletion activities.
• We manage USP data within the IC under Cl authorities.
• We develop new tools, code, and services to support varied data engineering tasks across different data types and conditions.
