Growing together.This role will support high-volume, high-complexity government and commercial contracts requiring strong attention to detail, independent problem solving, and collaboration across Billing, Finance, Contracts, Project Management, and Claims teams.This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and/or weekend coverage.We offer on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be completed onsite. Our office is located at 328 Front Street, La Crosse, WI.Primary ResponsibilitiesUtilize multiple reports to ensure the accuracy of billing transactionsAssist with invoice preparation and reconciliation of billing to A/R; Monitor outstanding A/R balances and take appropriate actionProvide input to policies, systems, and procedures for effective control of billingMaintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reportsReconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end closePrepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesPrepare documentation in support of external and internal auditsAnalyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial positionAssist with or lead the month-end/quarter-end close process for assigned businesses or groupsOther duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, OR related field OR equivalent years of work experienceMust be 18 years of age OR olderExperience supporting complex billing, accounting, OR revenue-related functionsIntermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (sort, filter, pivot tables, V-look ups) as well as proficiency in other Office applicationsAnalytical and reconciliation skills within ERP / accounting systemsUnderstanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statementsAbility to work full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday.
