Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in tandem with physicians or independently, depending on your credentialing
• Providing education to patients and families regarding illness prevention, overall wellness, and managing chronic conditions
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatment protocols within your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management initiatives
• Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting care within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• A degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialized certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days)
