As a Housekeeper (or Custodian) in our medical center, you help create a safe, welcoming environment where residents can heal and feel at home. What you’ll do: Clean and maintain resident rooms and common areas Empty trash, clean bathrooms, wash windows, and care for floors Vacuum, sanitize, and prepare rooms for new residents Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the building No two days are the same, and the work you do is noticed and appreciated by everyone. What we need from you: At least 1 year similar experience in a medical / healthcare facility or commercial cleaning setting (strongly preferred) Must be 18 years of age or older AND hold a High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills Understanding of Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) safety and sanitation rules Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check. This position will require extended periods of walking and standing to perform duties Housekeepers and janitors are just as important as doctors and nurses in keeping the facility running. You will work with a team that appreciates and respects the work you do every day.
