Roka Akor is seeking a talented Sushi Chef to join our award-winning culinary team at our Old Orchard location.

Recognized for our contemporary Japanese cuisine, exceptional sushi program, and signature robata grill, we are looking for professionals who take pride in quality, consistency, and hospitality.

What You'll Do

Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and specialty rolls to Roka Akor standards.
Maintain exceptional knife skills and product presentation.
Ensure freshness, quality, and proper handling of all seafood.
Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team during high-volume service.
Assist with inventory, prep, and daily station setup.

Qualifications

Previous sushi chef experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant preferred.
Strong knowledge of fish fabrication and traditional Japanese techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
Professional attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
