Associate Medical Director

Associate Medical DirectorTrustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical oversight and leadership for hospice patients and their families across Broward County. The Associate Medical Director will oversee the medical direction of the care and treatment of Hospice patients, both in-patient and field, as well as serving as a physician consult for Palliative Care patients within the Empath Health care.Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice has been honored to serve families across Palm Beach and Broward counties with compassionate, community-based care. Formed from the legacy of Hospice by the Sea and Hospice of Palm Beach County, we continue to provide comfort, dignity, and peace to those facing advanced illness.What You'll Do:Provides symptom control expertise and communicates with the APRN and/or RN to evaluate and initiate treatments for pain/symptom management. This is primarily completed through in person visits.Collaborates with the RN to create and implement the appropriate plan of care.Collaborates with the patient's attending physician as needed to develop and update the patient's plan of care, ensure the provision of direct medical services to ensure pain and symptom management.Serves as a medical resource and educator to staff, patients, families and attending physicians regarding admission criteria, pain and symptom control management, and end of life care.Adheres to the Florida Department of Health requirements, as well as legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
