Associate Director - Financial Reporting & Consolidations

Company Overview A rapidly growing specialty finance company, established in 2017, is seeking an Associate Director for Financial Reporting & Consolidation to lead their finance team in New York City. The role involves managing financial reporting in a dynamic, deal-driven environment with a focus on structured finance transactions. Job Responsibilities Own the consolidation process across all legal entities, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency reporting. Oversee preparation and sign-off of external financial statements and internal management reporting in accordance with US GAAP. Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from senior leadership and other stakeholders. Define and govern the Global Chart of Accounts framework, driving standardization across entities. Lead the discovery, selection, and implementation of the consolidation system. Participate in the development of accounting and reporting procedures for new products and business initiatives. Support the enhancement of the firm’s management reporting using technology solutions. Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and senior stakeholders. Qualifications 8-12+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidations, or public accounting. Expert-level US GAAP technical knowledge; IFRS exposure is a strong plus. Experience with complex finance structures and structured finance transactions. Proven experience leading consolidation or reporting system implementations. CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
