The Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is a fundraising professional within the Office of Institutional Advancement responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate and foundation relations program to advance Temple University's institutional priorities. The Executive Director oversees a program portfolio of corporate and foundation grantmaking prospects and partners through the full donor lifecycle, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal. Working collaboratively with university leadership, faculty, academic and administrative units, and advancement colleagues, the Executive Director matches philanthropic grant opportunities with university strategic priorities, develops compelling funding opportunities, and prepares competitive proposals. The Executive Director is also responsible for timely stewardship, reporting, and compliance with funder requirements. The position serves as a key liaison between external funding organizations and internal stakeholders, and provides strategic guidance regarding institutional funding priorities, proposal development, prospect strategy, and relationship management. Performs other duties as assigned. Travel disclosure: Travel is required to cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation partners, represent the university at meetings and events, and advance Institutional Advancement priorities. Travel will primarily occur throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, with occasional statewide and national travel as needed. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel in support of donor engagement and university events. Job Details

* Bachelor's degree.
* Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in corporate and foundation relations, institutional advancement, fundraising, grant development, or related development experience in higher education, nonprofit, healthcare, or comparable environments.
* Successful experience securing philanthropic support through corporate, foundation, and/or grant fundraising initiatives.
* Experience managing donor or prospect portfolios and developing successful cultivation and solicitation strategies.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Education and Experience
* Experience in higher education advancement.
* Experience working with faculty, research administration, or academic leadership.
* Knowledge of corporate sponsorships, institutional grants, and government funding opportunities.
* Experience using donor management and prospect research platforms. Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated success in corporate and foundation fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship development, and donor stewardship.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop persuasive and compelling funding proposals.
* Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse constituencies.
* Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify and align funding opportunities with institutional priorities.
* Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently while functioning effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Proficiency with fundraising databases, CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and donor/prospect research tools.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
* Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor engagement strategies, and philanthropy trends.
* Willingness and ability to travel locally, regionally, and throughout the assigned territory to cultivate and steward donor relationships, attend fundraising events, and represent the organization.
* Ability to work nights/weekends/early mornings. This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
