Senior Accounting Specialist
IPD Engineering
IPD is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for a wide range of core accounting and finance functions, including general ledger maintenance, fixed asset tracking, AP/AR management, month-end close activities, and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions: Prepareandpostjournalentriesfor: PrepaidInsuranceandOtherExpenses InterestExpense(asapplicable) BankAccountsandCreditCards AccountsPayable AccountsReceivable ClientPrepayments MonitorARinboxforclientinquiriesandcoordinatewiththeA/EControllerand/orprojectmanagertoprovidetimelysupport. Finalizeanddistributemonthlyclientinvoicesviaemailandmail. Responsibleformonthlyclientstatementsandcollectionfollow-uponinvoicesover90dayspastdue. Assistwithvendorsetup,W-9collection,andCOImanagement. Responsibleforaccuratejobsetupandprojectstatusmaintenanceintheaccountingsystem,collaboratingwiththeControllerasneeded. AssistintheQA/QCprocessforjobsetups. Providebackupsupportforclientbillingplatforms. Assistwithsubconsultantcommitmentsetupandpurchaseorderprocesses. Position Requirements: Associate’sorBachelor’sDegreeinAccounting,Finance,orrelatedfield StrongunderstandingofGAAPandgeneralledgerprinciples.
