Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current North Carolina Teaching License with certification for Middle and/or High School
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, especially in inclusion and resource classrooms
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies
• Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver special education support services according to students’ IEPs in inclusion/resource settings
• Collaborate with general educators to adapt curricula and facilitate student participation
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, maintaining a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to planning for student success
