Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler choice) Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in high acuity postpartum care required License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - High Risk Obstetric care experience - Experience with Magnesium Sulfate therapy - Epic charting system experience Description: This is a travel contract position in a large volume, high census facility. The unit specializes in postpartum treatment following delivery after pregnancy. Candidates must be able to handle a census surge and may be asked to manage a fourth couplet. The facility has a diverse patient population with high-risk obstetric patients. Required experiences include magnesium sulfate administration and postpartum hemorrhage management. Foley catheter management and administration of Pitocin are also necessary skills. Weekend work is required with a total of 6 weekend days per contract. Candidates should be prepared to float to other facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Travelers must commit to working three of the five major holidays. References from previous employment are required prior to starting. This role will involve interdisciplinary support from various healthcare teams.
