Food and Beverage Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Manager owns the dining room. This role is responsible for the systems, staffing, and standards that define the guest experience. The Service Manager leads from the floor, coaches consistently, and ensures the team delivers professional, organized, and genuine hospitality every day.

This position balances leadership, staffing, and operational ownership. The Service Manager is expected to teach more than they are taught and to hold consistent standards across all shifts.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily service operations and guest experience
• Manage floor flow, reservations, and pacing
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of FOH staff
• Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and accountability
• Maintain service standards and team expectations
• Conduct regular facility walk-throughs and maintenance follow-up
• Manage FOH scheduling and staffing levels
• Maintain strong communication across departments
• Lead lineup, training moments, and service communication in collaboration with GM
• Maintain fluency in all food and beverage offerings

FINANCIAL + OPERATIONAL OWNERSHIP

• Oversees FOH labor scheduling and targets
• Manages ordering of FOH supplies such as china/glass/silver, linens, office supplies, etc
• Supports cost control and waste reduction
• Monitors service efficiency and staffing alignment
• Supports P&L awareness and operational decision-making
