This role is also eligible for SCs annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliFacility Maintenance Team: Perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Move facility equipment and parts throughout the facility using a variety of material handling equipment, including hoists and cranes./liliProduction Equipment Maintenance Team: Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs of production equipment and other equipment supporting the production operations team./liliInstall and configure new units, ensuring proper operation and compliance with specifications./liliUse advanced tools and equipment, including overhead cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and lift trucks./liliPerform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and routine activities such as lubrication./liliObtain and interpret complex schematics and technical manuals to complete repairs./liliUtilize hand tools and basic power tools effectively./liliPerform basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office, CMMS, and Oracle to order parts./liliEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulations./liliMaintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities./liliSupport LPS problem-solving activities by acting as a key contributor in problem-solving meetings and assisting members of their team to fulfil the recommendations resulting from LPS activities./liliTrain and coach junior technicians as needed, setting the standard for work quality and standard operation procedures./liliUnderstand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules./liliMaintain regular and punctual attendance./liliAttend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required./liliCommunicate effectively and respectfully with others./liliOther responsibilities as assigned./li/ulpWhat youll Need To Succeed:/pulliHigh School diploma or acceptable General Educational Development (GED), some college preferred./liliValid Drivers License./liliCompletion of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical training courses from a community college; or trade school education in a related field; or/liliAssociates degree in a related field./liliRefrigeration repair certification./liliNFPA 70E training./liliPLC certifications/lili7+ years of experience in a related role, such as automotive, mechanical, or HVAC./liliAdvanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic systems, electronic, and pneumatic controls./liliExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to adequately maintain and repair facilities systems consistently./liliExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve maintenance-related issues with little guidance and oversight./liliAbility to read and interpret complex schematics and technical manuals./liliAbility to work independently and meet requirements of assigned repair requests./liliAbility to use basic hand tools (i.e. Screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and power tools./liliWillingness to work in a manufacturing environment and be trained in repairing various facility systems and structures within an industrial setting./liliSound communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of departments./liliGood interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department./liliAbility to work at heights and use various lifting equipment safely./liliBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software./liliBasic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements./liliAbility and willingness to follow Health Safety Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team./liliAdvanced HVAC knowledge./liliKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles./li/ulpPhysical demands:/pulliContinuously working indoors in an air-conditioned manufacturing-based environment./liliInfrequently exposed to fumes/vapors/dust/gases/odors/mist/toxic chemicals/vibration/grease/oils/lasers/other etc./liliContinuously exposed to moderate noise levels, including machinery and forklifts./liliInfrequently working with the risk of scalding/burns/other etc./liliInfrequently exposed to wet humid/outdoor weather/extreme cold (non-weather)/extreme heat (non-weather) conditions/other etc./liliContinuously working with machinery with moving parts/vehicles/forklifts/heavy machinery/sharp objects/other etc./li/ulpSC Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
