EEG Technician

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and some holidays

Travel Gross Weekly: $2,300 – $2,500/week (Based on Experience)
Local Pay: $50 – $55/hr (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced EEG Technician to perform routine and specialized EEG procedures for patients across a wide age range, from neonatal to geriatric. The technician will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings while following established clinical and ASET guidelines .

• Registered EEG Technician (R. EEG T.) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of EEG experience .
• Current BLS/CPR certification .
• Strong computer and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment health clearance.

• Perform routine EEG procedures in accordance with established ASET guidelines .
• Perform EEG testing on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Apply and measure electrodes appropriately for adult and pediatric patients.
• Enter and maintain raw EEG data for physician review.
• Perform descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns observed during testing.
• Edit and review 24-hour EEG data as required.
• Provide appropriate and compassionate interaction with patients and their families.
• Maintain EEG equipment and ensure acquisition stations are properly stocked.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions and document issues in the equipment logbook.
• Follow all hospital and department policies, procedures, safety standards, and established clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure EEG studies are properly prepared for physician interpretation.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
