About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40201!

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed PCU/Stepdown unit managing a diverse patient population including transplant, ESRD, and dialysis patients
• Administer and monitor vasoactive and specialty drips including Levophed, Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardene, Bumex, and Lasix infusions
• Manage patients requiring BIPAP, High Flow oxygen therapy, TPN, and central telemetry monitoring
• Perform blood administration, PICC line care, JP and Hemovac drain management, CBI, and surgery preparation
• Draw own labs as needed; collaborate with CNA support, IV/VAT Team, Resource Nurse, Respiratory Therapy (24/7), Hospitalist (24/7), and Transplant teams (24/7)
• Document accurately using Cerner EMR ; operate Plum ICU Medical IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems

• Active RN license valid in the state of Kentucky
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• BLS certification required
• CPI attendance required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with vasoactive drips, BIPAP, High Flow, TPN, blood administration, and drain management

• Experience with manual peritoneal dialysis
• Prior experience caring for transplant or ESRD/dialysis patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR in a PCU or Stepdown setting

• Supportive unit environment with 24/7 Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist, and Transplant team coverage, plus CNA support and central telemetry monitoring
