Laboratory Operations Specialist
Prime Medicine
Prime Medicine seeks a Laboratory Operations Specialist to manage laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration scheduling, and vendor coordination. The role ensures instruments remain compliant and inspection-ready while maintaining detailed service records and monitoring systems.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage master service calendar for all laboratory instruments and equipment qualifications
- Schedule preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair visits with outside vendors
- Maintain equipment records in Qualer system, including calibration certificates and service logs
- Monitor temperature-controlled storage units using Elemental Machines system and respond to alerts
- Track equipment status, reconcile physical inventory against records, and identify performance trends
Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in life science or technical field, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
- Experience maintaining equipment in GMP-regulated laboratory settings
- Working knowledge of calibration and asset management systems such as Qualer
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple vendors and schedules simultaneously
- Proficiency with equipment tracking and monitoring systems
