A confidential California law firm with a focused creditors’ rights and commercial bankruptcy practice is seeking a senior-level attorney to take a leadership role on complex matters. This position is exclusively creditor-side and is well-suited to an attorney who enjoys strategic bankruptcy litigation, workouts, and restructurings, along with mentoring and client-facing responsibility. THE ROLE Lead and manage commercial bankruptcy matters, with an emphasis on contested issues and litigation-driven strategy. Handle significant creditors’ committee work and creditor representation in Chapters 7, 11, and 13. Draft and argue motions, manage discovery and related disputes, and appear at hearings as needed. Advise clients on workouts, restructures, and related enforcement strategies, including judgment enforcement where applicable. Supervise, mentor, and provide quality control for junior attorneys and support staff on active matters. LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Location: Greater Los Angeles area, California. Schedule: Hybrid; the team typically works in-office 3+ days per week (flexibility for strong candidates). Compensation: $200,000 to $250,000 base salary. REQUIREMENTS Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. 5+ years of experience in creditors’ rights and commercial bankruptcy, including creditors’ committee work and Chapters 7, 11, and 13. Demonstrated experience advising on workouts, restructures, judgment enforcement, or closely related creditor remedies. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Prior leadership experience and/or a portable book of business in creditors’ rights.
