Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Desktop Support / Deskside Technician for a 6+ month contract to provide onsite IT support in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and experience supporting Windows and macOS devices, mobile devices, printers, and enterprise IT infrastructure. This role requires a self-motivated technician who can work independently while collaborating with remote support teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop and laptop support for Windows and macOS devices.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
• Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, VPN connectivity, wireless networking, and mobile devices.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for end-user equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
• Perform user data backup, restoration, and migration.
• Provide Smart Hands support for networking, server, and telecommunications equipment under the direction of remote engineers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and scanning devices.
• Track and document work performed using a ticketing system.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets, spare parts, and equipment.
• Follow knowledge base articles and documented procedures while researching complex issues.
• Support executive users when required.
• Travel to additional nearby locations as needed.
• Participate in after-hours or on-call support when required.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Level 2 Desktop Support, Deskside Support, or End User Support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting printers, scanners, mobile devices, and AV/conference room equipment.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with hardware installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and documenting support activities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Lean Six Sigma certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, office, and varying environmental conditions as needed.
