Maintenance Technician

Insight Global is partnering with a large food manufacturing client to hire a Maintenance Technician to join their Columbus, California facility. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity supporting 1st shift (Sunday-Thursday, starting at 4:30AM), with overtime eligibility.
In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting emergency repairs on a variety of processing and packaging equipment, including large slicers, grinders, and stuffing equipment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable across multiple machine types, comfortable working in a cold food production environment, and able to work independently during off-shift hours.
This team is particularly interested in candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting experience, as well as prior manufacturing maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred but not required). A strong safety mindset-specifically around lockout/tagout procedures-is essential.

The pay range for this role is $34.75-$48.75 per hour, with final compensation determined by the client based on experience, certifications, and interview feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 4 years mechanical or electrical experience within an industrial environment
Experience performing both preventative maintenance + troubleshooting emergency repairs on heavy duty machinery
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work in a team environment


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience within food manufacturing
Technical education and/or industrial certifications/licenses
Experience working within refrigeration
