Patients requiring emergency care are also within the scope of the Emergency Nurse. Care is provided to patients seeking treatment for non-urgent conditions. The Emergency Nurse triages patients according to their care requirements. Ongoing assessment of patients' conditions is a critical aspect of the role. Immediate interventions and discharge teaching are also responsibilities of the Emergency Nurse. The Emergency Department Nurse cares for various populations, including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Interaction with individuals must be appropriate to their intellectual level and physical ability. The Emergency Nurse works on an interdisciplinary level to ensure comprehensive patient care.
