What You'll Do

As a Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll support field operations while developing the leadership skills needed to advance into management roles.

• Assist with daily field operations, crew coordination, and schedule execution
• Ensure installations meet project plans, specifications, quality standards, and SMACNA requirements
• Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to monitor quality, safety, and project progress
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and fabrication schedules
• Review blueprints, mechanical drawings, and installation requirements
• Support productivity goals while maintaining high workmanship standards
• Mentor apprentices and technicians, helping develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and craftsmanship

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial sheet metal fabrication and installation experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
• Working knowledge of HVAC ductwork installation methods and industry standards
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Experience coaching or leading apprentices, helpers, or small crews preferred
• Desire to grow into field management and superintendent-level leadership
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
