Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with teaching hospital experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an academic medical center in Burlington, Vermont.

Details

• Inpatient Respiratory Care Services unit covering adult ICU, adult general, and pediatric general floors
• ED experience preferred but not required
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
• Floating not required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Must hold RRT credential — CRT will not be accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RRT
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• At least two professional references required from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one from the past 6 months, one from within the past year of employment)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
• Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
• Scheduling flexibility is a must — the facility maintains strict scheduling requirements
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle with all-season or snow tires (November–April) is strongly recommended
• Candidates holding a NY license with proof of pending status will be considered
• Any employment gaps over 90 days should be explained in the work history
• All employment history must include bed count, EMR, and trauma level for each position listed
• All specialties worked must be documented in each individual employment entry
• A radius-based pay structure applies depending on distance from the facility
