Experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician (union)

Responsibilities Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact the customer representative to ascertain equipment or system problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial applications, including wet (steel, copper and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps. Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software and systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. Work independently. Qualifications 2+ years of documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair on sprinkler and suppression systems. Retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes. Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs. Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements. Follow verbal and written instructions. Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs. Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings. Must understand and follow all safety requirements of the company and the customer. Preferred NICET Level II certification. Pay Range and Benefits Pay Range: $48.35 hourly rate, determined by the CBA/rate sheet and based on experience. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
