Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care in a busy maternity unit. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, skilled in fetal assessment, and capable of managing high-risk pregnancies during 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care to expectant mothers.
  
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced fetal monitoring systems.
  
• Perform vaginal examinations and assess labor progress independently.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Nurse Midwives, Anesthesia, and Neonatology staff.
  
• Document patient care accurately within the Epic system and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
  
• Manage high-risk complications such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and fetal distress with competence.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid California RN license and recent 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and high-risk pregnancy management.
  
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
  
• Be autonomous, comfortable conducting vaginal exams, and capable of managing complex cases.
  
• Prefer candidates with Epic EMR experience and 3+ years of relevant L&D experience.
  
• Have active ACLS, NRP, and fetal assessment credentials; travel experience a plus.
