Associate Director of Development

Position Overview Associate Director of Development to support redevelopment and development projects in the region. Manage the entire project entitlement process, interact with retailers and municipalities, prepare valuation models, analyze development scenarios for new and existing assets, and assist in project design and planning. Responsibilities Manage the entire project entitlement process. Interact with retailers and municipalities. Prepare valuation models and analyze development scenarios. Assist in project design and planning. Oversee the project consultant team (land use attorneys, architects, engineers, etc.). Research municipal land use and zoning requirements. Coordinate with internal leasing, construction, and property management teams. Qualifications 4‑year degree in business, architecture, or construction management. Minimum five years of directly related experience in real estate development. Prior experience with zoning, entitlements, and land‑use issues. Experience with acquisitions and dispositions, including underwriting, due diligence, and asset valuation. Experience in commercial retail real estate. Strong background in cost estimating, entitlement procurement, and project underwriting. Ability to travel regularly to project sites, acquisition targets, and permitting agencies; some overnight travel and nighttime public hearings may be required. Experience dealing with local, state, and federal permitting agencies. Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with ARGUS preferred.
