Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies while ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are met. This is a first-shift opportunity in a modern, climate-controlled facility with strong opportunities for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assembly operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues as they arise.
• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced assemblers.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Support inventory management by maintaining proper material and component levels.
• Follow all safety policies, quality procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high levels of quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in a production or assembly-line environment.
• Strong mechanical assembly experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to help train team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Continuous improvement experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 or advanced manufacturing technologies.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 11PM
Overtime: Mandatory Fridays as needed based on business demands and production schedules.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
