Value Engineering & Margin Protection: Analyze architectural plans and specifications to identify cost-saving alternatives, proactively protecting margins before a single wire is pulled. Bidding Pipeline Management: Oversee the structural assembly of final bid proposals, ensuring perfect accuracy in component pricing, vendor quotes, and subcontractor parameters. What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications) Master-Level Estimating Tenure: Proven, referenceable professional background writing comprehensive electrical estimates, material takeoffs, and labor scaling models for ground-up commercial and deep residential renovations. Advanced Blueprint & Document Literacy: Elite proficiency in reading, interpreting, and cross-referencing intricate electrical schematics, engineering plans, MEP specifications, and contract structures. Code & Systems Fluency: Strong technical command of national electrical codes (NEC), commercial power distributions, control wiring layouts, and residential building constraints. Field Leadership Background: Demonstrated experience in field management, successfully acting as a reliable lead technician, foreman, or construction project manager to properly understand how estimating units translate to the dirt. Mobility & Site Deployment: Willingness to travel up to 20% of your working hours to visit local client sites, conduct physical pre-bid job walk-throughs, and review active field operations. Preferred Technical Profiles: Minimum of 5 years of related, hands-on experience focused heavily on electrical estimating and controls trade management. High proficiency utilizing digital electrical takeoff systems, advanced estimating software, and Microsoft Excel. Completion of a formal trade program, an Associate's/Bachelor's degree, or possession of a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license. Professional bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills to support a diverse subcontractor and client base.
