Material Handler - 1st Shift

$19/hr

Experience: Minimum two years experience in general warehousing, picking, receiving and cycle counting.  High level of attention to detail is required.  Forklift (Stand-up and Sit-down) certification 

Computer/software: MRP and Bar Code System.

Windows XP, Word, Excel and general computer knowledge.

Job Scope: Check the schedule, print pick lists based on the priority date, pull and audit orders, complete shortages, report any discrepancies, and variances to inventory control team or warehouse  manager.

100% count of all hardware, devices, Flash Media such as USBs and SD cards.

Communicate with receiving and inventory control team on any materials that need to be pulled for job orders.

Audit kits pulled from warehouse for accuracy of materials compare to BOM and provide materials to production as soon as the Kit Audit process is completed

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Print pick-lists according to production schedule based on the priority date and place it in designated bin.
• Picks materials according to pick-list and other documents.
• Completes shortages for job order and production as soon the shortages received, approved and removed for the Switchboard.
• Pull MT’s for shipping orders processed in Production.
• 100% count of all hardware, devices, USBs and SD cards
• To ensure that high volume items such as Flash Media- SD cards, USBs drives are always kitted and retained in a secure location until it is hand off to production.
• To ensure that all QA Holds or returns are pulled correctly for the work orders based on the list released by the account manager.
• Update the Switchboard accordingly each time there is changes made  to the work order
• To pull ESD materials that require special handling follow the ESD material requirements and work instructions.
• Pull lot controlled and serialized products according to the company standards, work instructions and customer specific requirements.
• Notify the account manager and Warehouse Manager if there is any unexpected inventory discrepancy and update the Switchboard.
• Return over issued materials, or retuned by production due to any reason vendor overages back to stock rooms locations through the RTS system.
• Puts materials into pallet rack using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Performs cycle count according to procedures and instructions
• Stretch-wraps pallets using the automatic stretch-wrapper or manually, as required 
• Maintains excellent material and warehouse management standards. 
• Maintains overall facility cleanliness and safety awareness.
• Pull shortages for production on requested MTs. Verify quantity of materials, complete the shortages if any and check the physical location where the materials were pulled from originally.
• Complete the transfer move on the material form.
• Audit the Kit based on the work instructions verify part numbers and compare to part numbers on BOM.
• Verify and check materials, to ensure the correct materials are pulled. Check the quantities against the packlist to ensure the right amount is pulled as required by the work order BOM.
• Document the discrepancies/ findings on the picklist and notify the Kitter to rectify the problem. For damaged materials request the replacement materials on the MT and forward the damaged materials to QA
• Alert Warehouse Manager or inventory analyst in case of any discrepancies found during Kit Audit process.

• Maintain a clean and safe kit audit area  and support production  as needed 
• Ensure that material is available as needed for the line to be fully saturated 
• Ensure materials not commingled 
• Follow the process, company policies and safety requirements all the time.
