At Texas State Optical, our Mission is to Save Eyes & Spark Joy! We’re looking for a detail-oriented, patient-focused individual to join our team as an Optometric Technician I. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, this is your chance to grow your skills, support patients, and be part of a team that truly values both vision and compassion. Pay : $16-$18/hour with full benefits including PTO, paid holidays, insurance, 401k + match & so much more! Monday - Friday hours + Saturday hours (if work Saturday would be off 1 day during the week) What You’ll Be Doing: Support optometrists by performing pre-screening tests and assisting with exams Collect patient medical histories and explain vision benefits clearly and confidently Train patients on contact lens use and care Verify insurance, schedule appointments, and keep communication flowing smoothly Help coordinate patient flow and contribute to a seamless, high-quality experience Collaborate with your team to meet goals and deliver exceptional care What We’re Looking For: 1+ year of customer service experience (optometric or medical experience is a plus!)
