Infant/Toddler Teacher

Summary Mary Margaret's Daycare and Learning Center in Affton/South County is looking to add additional staff to our team. We are looking for someone with a love and dedication to young children with a flexible schedule. This position is for an Infant/Toddler Teacher and would be full time. A full time schedule would be Mon-Fri, 7-5:30 with a rotating off day and a half hour break. Duties Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met. Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. Requirements Strong oral and written communication skills. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. A strong understanding of child development. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Willing to take CFD 101, 102, & 103 (online through STLCC) or get your CDA (both are covered by TEACH Scholarship) if you do not already have one or the other Nice To Haves Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
