Business Analyst / Product Management

Forte Group is looking for the a proactive and detail-oriented Product Owner / Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving product development by managing the backlog, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, enhancing internal processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of features aligned with business goals. You will operate in an AI‑enabled delivery environment, working alongside engineering teams who use generative and agentic tooling to accelerate development — and will play a key role in ensuring that speed of delivery is matched by clarity of intent, strong governance, and sound product judgement. We’re looking for professionals with strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and a curiosity for how AI is changing the way software is built and delivered. Our client provides leading technology and services to the golf industry across the United States and Great Britain, including software that manages tee sheets, points of sale, and reservation services with a focus on providing a great experience for golf players and the smooth operation of golf courses. The project is a leading online service helping golfers book tee times and track their scores at more than 3,000 courses worldwide. You will work as part of a dedicated agile team, with a high level of responsibility for technical decisions and daily collaboration with colleagues abroad. Product Development & Execution Owning and managing the product backlog: ensuring items are well‑defined, prioritised, and aligned with business and user needs Leading grooming sessions to prepare backlog items for upcoming sprints, clarifying requirements, and addressing dependencies Writing clear and comprehensive requirements and specifications for new features and improvements — including leveraging AI tools to accelerate the drafting of user stories, acceptance criteria, and PRDs from discussions, transcripts, or raw input Collaborating closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery in fast‑moving, AI‑assisted development cycles Communicating progress, roadmap updates, and key changes to senior management Validating that delivered features match requirements through acceptance testing — including features generated through AI‑assisted or agentic workflows Scope Definition and Management Identifying which tickets will be included in the iteration or release Assigning priorities, considering both short‑term deliverables and long‑term product goals, and ensuring important tasks are addressed first Overseeing ticket progress to prevent delays, troubleshooting issues, and resolving blockers Applying sound product governance to manage the pace of AI‑assisted feature generation — ensuring what gets built is intentional, useful, and ready for users rather than shelved behind feature toggles Facilitation of Planning & Refinement Sessions Providing clear and detailed explanations of tickets, including acceptance criteria and desired outcomes Addressing questions or uncertainties the team may have Communicating expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, and dependencies between backlog items Updating items and the backlog based on session outcomes Following up on any unresolved issues or tasks requiring further clarification Key Requirements 3+ years of experience working with B2B software solutions Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban Analytical thinking with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making Experience managing and prioritising a product backlog Ability to write clear, actionable requirements and specifications Experience leading backlog grooming/refinement and sprint planning sessions Understanding of supporting tools and technologies such as Jira and Confluence A good knowledge of internet technologies, software design, databases, security, APIs, and technical debt Familiarity with AI‑assisted workflows and a willingness to actively adopt AI tooling (such as Claude, Copilot, or similar) as part of day‑to‑day working practice Strong organizational skills, a positive, proactive approach, and attitude Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationships across internal colleagues, stakeholders, and customers Comfort operating in environments where AI tooling is accelerating delivery pace, and an understanding of where human judgment, validation, and governance remain essential Would be a plus Hands‑on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to support requirements writing, sprint preparation, or documentation Experience working in teams adopting generative or agentic development approaches An interest in how AI is reshaping product ownership, backlog management, and the product‑to‑code lifecycle What’s in it for you Work your way — anywhere, anytime.
