12-hour shifts, with a weekend requirement of every-other-weekend, working Saturday and Sunday for both day and night shifts.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide patient care across various units, including 6N, 7N, 4N, 5S, and 6S, accommodating diverse patient needs. The RN is expected to manage a patient load predominantly ranging from 1:5 to 1:6, with higher ratios only during peak times, depending on patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a variety of patient diagnoses, including CHF, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, and oncology.
• Participate in patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, with proficiency required to pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Experience in med-surg and telemetry is preferred; travelers should be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• All travelers must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
