Shipping Associate - 1st & 2nd Shift

Location: Catoosa, OK
Industry: Steel Distribution
Pay: $18.00 per hour - Both Shifts

HireCall is seeking Shipping Associates for a busy steel distribution company in Catoosa. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping and receiving experience, be comfortable working around heavy materials, and have experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM-12:00 AM (Midnight)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle steel materials for shipment
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Read and accurately measure materials using a tape measure
• Complete shipping and receiving paperwork and computer data entry
• Verify orders and shipping information for accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Overhead crane and forklift experience required
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Previous shipping and receiving experience highly preferred
• Basic computer skills for data entry
• Must be safety-conscious and aware at all times
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and safely
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Must have reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Employees must be able to safely handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and work around heavy steel products, forklifts, and overhead crane equipment.
