We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support our growing accounting and finance function. This position is ideal for someone with 2- years of accounting or bookkeeping experience who is comfortable working independently, enjoys keeping financial records organized and accurate, and wants the opportunity to expand their accounting knowledge. Primary Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accounts payable processes, including reviewing bills, coding transactions, collecting appropriate documentation, and preparing items for payment. Perform monthly billing for clinic clients. Prepare reports on uncollectible accounts for management. Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Review daily financial and end-of-day reports for accuracy and investigate discrepancies. Assist with month-end close, including transaction coding, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjusting entries as appropriate. Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and streamline accounting processes. Maintain and update recurring accounting spreadsheets and financial reports. Assist with production, salary, and other financial reviews as needed. Assist with annual filings, audits, and special accounting projects. Complete and provide support for biweekly payroll processing. Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Accounting Manager. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance. 2+ years of accounting experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, data organization, and working with financial spreadsheets. VLOOKUP and Pivot Table familiarity is a plus. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and recurring deadlines. Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or upscale an issue. Comfortable learning new systems and accounting processes. Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. Benefits: Medical and vision insurance - PPO plans. Dental insurance – 100% Anicira paid.
