About the Role

We are seeking a Benefits Specialist toprovide excellent customer service, assistance, and support to the Chadux family of companies and will serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on any questions regarding benefits or policies in addition to providing key data and transaction support on HR action items. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and self-starter who can hit the ground running, help grow our team while improving our processes, and create a best-in-class experience for employees and internal stakeholders. This role will focus on providing benefit program communication, guidance, and policy support to employees and prospective employees.

This is a fully remote position; candidates must be based and reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

Core Duties: Guide employees through benefits onboarding and ongoing administration by answering questions about medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary insurance programs; tracking eligibility; and coordinating with vendors to resolve enrollment, coverage, and service issues.

• Support new employees through the benefits onboarding process

• Support exiting employees through the benefits offboarding process

• Invoicing review, including interfacing with benefits providers and insurance teams as needed

• Maintain HRIS benefits system bSwift via Paylocity by ensuring benefit enrollments and records are up-to-date, including running reports from the database as needed

• Responsible for Open Enrollment activities, starting mid-year by working with a third-party benefits vendor to provide reports and data necessary to begin the RFP process for upcoming year benefit plan design changes

• Maintain ACA resolutions in bSwift throughout the year, culminating in confirming all benefits records are correct by EOY so that 1095C's run and sent out to employees are accurate

• Primary monitor for benefits and dependent verification inbox email traffic

• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and support HR special projects as assigned

• Can thrive in a supportive, collaborative team environment on a small-agile team with a startup feel

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 3 years of experience managing benefits in a fast-paced, high-growth environment or equivalent is required

• Customer service, health plans, and carrier coordination.

• Skilled in developing relationships and working with hiring managers and business leaders

• Able to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and logical problem-solving skills to drive measurable results

• Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), such as Paylocity

• Excellent written communication skills, ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Strong work ethic with a clear sense of urgency to achieve results, ability to work within tight timelines, and a "roll up your sleeves" approach

• Understanding of HR concepts, principles, practices, as well as federal, state, and local laws and statutes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Capable of working collaboratively in a remote team environment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree in any field.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
