Materials Coordinator

Job Details Job Location: NewportNews, VA23605 Stemmle Plumbing Repair Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Materials Coordinator to support our field technicians by ensuring they have the materials, equipment, and supplies needed to successfully complete jobs. This position is essential to maintaining efficient warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and timely delivery of materials to job sites. Essential Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and supplies. Pull and stage materials for scheduled service calls and construction projects. Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts. Coordinate the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to technicians and job sites. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse. Assist with ordering materials and communicating with vendors as directed. Load and unload company vehicles and vendor deliveries. Verify packing slips and report shortages or damaged materials. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed. Assist technicians with locating parts and materials. Maintain proper storage of tools, equipment, and inventory. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of plumbing materials and fittings. Experience with inventory management systems. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse, inventory, plumbing, HVAC, or construction materials experience preferred. Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed). Basic computer skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
