Intellectual Property Patent Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Patent Associate to join its practice group in Atlanta, GA. The role involves advising clients on developing and expanding their IP portfolios, focusing on innovations in areas such as cloud computing, AI, digital image processing, and more. The associate will interact with a diverse client base, including Fortune 100 companies and emerging tech firms. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications. Advise clients on IP portfolio development and protection. Interact with clients from various sectors, including technology and academia. Respond to office actions from the USPTO and other patent offices. Requirements 3-4 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Experience with software coding, preferably in AI. Strong analytical and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a collaborative approach. Education Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science (or equivalent). Certifications USPTO registration required. Skills Proficiency in preparing patent applications. Ability to assume responsibility in an active practice.
