Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse for a facility in Fargo. This role involves managing critically ill patients across various units, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, surgical, and medical populations, with a focus on titrating vasopressor drips and utilizing electronic charting. The position requires flexibility with floating and involves working scheduled days and occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details

• Qualifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) RN experience in large hospital settings over 250 beds with level 1 trauma designation. Ability to independently care for critically ill patients, including management of titratable drips like vasopressors, sedatives, and inotropics. Valid RN license from ND or a compact state.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, performing bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, line placement, and diagnostic tests. Familiarity with equipment including EPIC electronic medical records, IV pumps, patient monitoring systems, and ventilators.
• Orientation: 32 hours of comprehensive orientation covering hospital, ICU, and departmental training, scheduled during the first week of the assignment.
• Additional Information: Call-in required daily to determine the specific ICU location for shift, with potential to float to all critical care departments and med-surg units as needed, including possible float to MS.
