Technical Support Engineer

Location: TechM US Texas Plano

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Routing and Switching (R S) Network Design. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in technical support roles, demonstrating expertise in network design, troubleshooting, and customer service. This contractor position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert level technical support for Cisco R S network design and implementation.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize network solutions.
Document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and clients on Cisco R S technologies.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Cisco technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.
Assist in the development of network design proposals and presentations for clients.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (R S) Network Design.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner.
Experience with Cisco IOS, NX OS, and related networking protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with network security protocols and technologies.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
Knowledge of cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in technical support or network engineering roles.
Proven track record of successful Cisco R S network design and implementation.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
