Job Title: Daycare Closer

Hours: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $13.00-$15.00 per hour , based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:
Little Legends Learning Academy is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Daycare Closer to help ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff during the afternoon and evening hours. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working with children and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities. 
• Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment. 
• Follow all Tennessee childcare licensing regulations and center policies. 
• Assist with afternoon snack, cleanup, and classroom routines. 
• Help children with toileting, handwashing, and other hygiene needs as appropriate. 
• Keep classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas clean and organized throughout the afternoon. 
• Sanitize toys, tables, cots, and frequently touched surfaces before closing. 
• Complete daily classroom closing duties and cleaning checklist. 
• Communicate professionally with parents during afternoon pick-up. 
• Ensure all children are signed out and released only to authorized individuals. 
• Assist other classrooms as needed. 
• Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Director immediately. 
• Lock doors, turn off lights, and complete assigned closing procedures before leaving. 

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required. 
• Must successfully pass all required background checks. 
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). 
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. 
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday 

• 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• No weekends
