Security Officer Driver Enhanced Part Time in De Soto, KS , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour Job Schedule Friday 10:45 PM – 07:15 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify access credentials when required, and report access concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols. Support day‑to‑day operations by completing incident reports, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and assisting with security‑related requests in a professional manner. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
