Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Carry out diverse ultrasound examinations encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures by clearly explaining each process with care
• Work in close collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the provision of high-quality diagnostic images
• Efficiently operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring that any malfunctions are reported immediately
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of procedures within the electronic medical record system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is mandatory
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
